This article is based on the assumption that gender-based division of labor and problems in urban services lead women’s everyday lives to be home-focused and their absence in urban. The article investigates how the gender roles allow urban life to have a womanless appearance and trapping the women in a home-centered life, deprive them from existing in the urban life. The article is based on semi-structured in-depth interviews with fifteen women from Nevşehir. The drawbacks in the context of their everyday urban experiences women encounter has been exposed.
