This study aims to consider movies shot in the 2000s, Teslimiyet Other Angels, Emre Yalgın, 2010 and Güneşi Gördüm I Saw the Sun, Mahsun Kırmızıgül, 2009 , within the context of socio-spatial representation of transgender identities. Considering ideas of gender and space theoreticians such as Henri Lefebvre, the study explores trans bodies’ relationships with dominant political power mechanisms in hegemonic space, what kind of exclusion, limitation and inclusion mechanisms they are framed with and whether they can produce any alternative spatial conception, and it also questions whether they have developed opposing codes that can interfere with dominant gender codes by means of spatial relationships.

Space, queer politcs, transgender identity, sex worker, heteronormativity
