Field Experiences of a Young Female Researcher Working with Older Men

In this study, I aim to convey my experiences in my master’s thesis study titled “Older men’s experiences of loneliness after the loss of a spouse”, which I conducted as a young female researcher with older male subjects in Eskişehir between August 2023 and May 2024, by making use of my field notes. In the study, I elaborate on the in-depth interviews I conducted with older men and how I, as a young woman researcher, was positioned/positioned vis-a-vis older men.
