This photo was published in Life Magazine in 1957. In the photo we see the famous Hollywood star Pier Angeli, who is taking care of his two-year-old child. Pier Angeli looks simple, elegant, even tempting, in contrast to the glitz and glamor that we are usually accustomed to seeing an actress in her dress. The actress sits with her legs entwined in a manner that is both elegant and sexy, but definitely respectable. This sitting position supports her elegant and ladylike appearance. The room she is in obviously belongs to his child. Even in these years, the fact that a child has his own room gives an idea about the class position of Pier and her family, but also presents the children’s room as one of the essentials of a modern nuclear family house. Besides all this, the most obvious thing that catches our eye when we look at the photo is the toy clown, probably taller than the child, sitting on a small rocking chair in the foreground.
