This article aims at effects of places on the person’s lives. It points outs that how places shapes the person’s emotions and opinions through a relationship with t heir gender, age and identities. The otobiyografhy of Ayla Kutlu, one of a famous writer of Turkey, gives us strong and rich examples on this subject. The reason why particullarly a woman writer is choosen is to underline different and important parts of being a woman while being relations with places. In this article, the diffuculties and to be restricted only because of being a woman in a patriarchial system how shapes being a woman, how effects being a women will be seen in the life story of Kutlu.Those difficulties combines with economic situations and cultural and politics events of the country and draws the pictures of her life diffrently.So, the article gives us a detail analyize of the relation between a woman and places by focusing on the childhood and adulthood period of the writer, the family structure in which she grew up and the cultural structure of cities.
